"Doctor and the Doll" by Norman Rockwell in 3D

Saturday Evening Post Cover: March 9, 1929
Size of Original: 32”W X 26.25”H
Location of Original: Norman Rockwell Museum of Stockbridge

This painting is one of the most popular of Rockwell's works. It has sentiment and humor combined.

Rockwell often featured paintings inside of paintings. The painting on the left side of the desk appears to represent a group of doctors painted in an entirely different style from Rockwell's. The three characters in the picture look like they are standing on tip-toes and peering over the doctor's shoulder to try to see what the doctor is doing.

This is a similar theme to “The Art Critic” where a picture is looking at a real life scene.
